We are seeking a dynamic Senior Director of Transportation Operations to lead and inspire our Transportation department. Leveraging your extensive expertise in transportation management, you will set the strategic direction for the department and ensure the safe, accurate, and timely execution of daily outbound shipments. Leads development and implementation of distribution and transportation policies, development of models, procedures, and processes for planning of distribution and transportation activities.

• Leads the transportation department and all functions including dispatch, driver safety, fleet management and compliance.
• Align distribution strategies with overall business objectives.
• Thoroughly understands and optimizes all outbound transportation-related system capabilities, including shipment planning and consolidation and carrier selection.
• Defines carrier utilization strategy and leads the carrier management processes such as provider selection, rate negotiations, performance management, and contract negotiations.
• Partners cross-functionally with key stakeholders to evaluate current processes and identify opportunities for improvement while leading operational execution in transportation.
• Leads major organizational changes through system and process enhancements and digital transformation.
• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs and policies specific to transportation operations.
• Lead and mentors a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensures a properly staffed and a well-trained team, all key positions are backed up with cross-training and all employees have adequate training and development opportunities.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations and standards, including OSHA and DOT regulations.
