The mission of Harrison County Lifelong Learning is to provide access to a wide range of education and training opportunities for the residents of the Harrison County, Indiana area.
Harrison County Lifelong Learning partners with several educational institutions and community resources to increase the skills and abilities of local citizens while empowering and enriching their lives in an effort to promote a lifetime of learning. Scholarships Available to Harrison County Adults
The Harrison County Community Foundation has an Adult Scholarship Program to assists Harrison County residents who have completed at least 50% of the required credit necessary in obtaining a Bachelor's or Associate's degree. In order to be eligible, individuals must be at least 25 years old and must demonstrate legal residency for the past 24 months. Scholarship awards may be used for tuition, course-related fees and books only. The Spring 2018 Adult Scholarship and the October 2017 Miles' Fund applications are due Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 4:00 p.m.

College & Career Fair
Harrison County Lifelong Learning once again participated in the Harrison County College & Career Fair, sponsored by the College Success Coalition. The event was held on Wednesday, September 20 at Corydon Central High School gymnasium. Open to more than 2,000 students from 5 area schools, the College & Career Fair offered students exciting information about colleges and universities, helped them explore post-secondary options and career goals and offered them the chance to network with local business leaders.
Lifelong Learning Houses WorkOne Express
Harrison County Lifelong Learning hosts a career counselor from WorkOne on Mondays & Thursdays,
8:30 AM - 4:30 PM. Clients can stop in to conduct job searches, complete a skills assessment, develop a career plan and receive information on training, referrals, and placement services.
High School Equivalency Testing
Harrison County Lifelong Learning is the Test Center for Region 10 in Southern Indiana. We serve Harrison, Crawford, Clark, Floyd, Scott and Washington Counties with the new high school equivalency assessment that replaced the General Educational Development test. The new assessment ensures Indiana offers a high school equivalency (HSE) test that matches employer demand and is both affordable and accessible. Students who successfully pass the HSE test will obtain an Indiana High School Equivalency Diploma. Upcoming tests are available in Jeffersonville and New Albany.
