Harrison County Lifelong Learning, in partnership with Ivy Tech Community College, River Valley Resources and Southern Indiana Works, is offering a welding certification program beginning Tuesday, April 30, 2024. Classes will be held at Corydon Central High School on Tuesday & Thursday evenings. This 80-hour program prepares the student for a certification issued by the American Welding Society (AWS) in MIG Welding.

Phlebotomy Technician Training
March 25 – July 11, 2024
Offered in partnership with Vincennes University, Phlebotomy Technician training will teach students to collect blood specimens from clients for the purpose of laboratory analysis. Upon successful completion of the program students will have the opportunity to test for the National Health Career Association certification. Class will meet Mondays & Thursdays from 5:00 PM -8:00 PM at Harrison County Lifelong Learning. Tuition assistance is available to eligible Harrison and Crawford County residents. Introduction to Microsoft Excel
April 8 & 15, 2024
This is a great course for learners with little or no previous experience with Microsoft Excel. You will start with the basics. But by the time you are done, you will have learned how to use Excel’s powerful library of formulas to automate business calculations, format your spreadsheets so they are easy to read and interpret and work with tables of data. Class will meet from 3:00 – 5:00 PM both days. Tickets are available now!
Southern Indiana Works- WorkOne Corydon
A Career Coach is at Harrison County Lifelong Learning on Tuesdays 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM and Thursdays from 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM. Individuals can stop in or make an appointment to conduct job searches, complete a skills assessment, develop a career plan and receive information on workforce training, referrals, and placement services.
